The Ice Park at King Tomislav Square transforms Zagreb's historic square into one of Europe's most enchanting winter attractions during Advent in Zagreb. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this spectacular ice skating venue features a unique figure-8 design spanning over 2,000 square meters, set against the stunning backdrop of the Zagreb Art Pavilion and the monument to Croatia's first king, Tomislav. Modeled after Vienna's famous Rathausplatz ice rink, the Ice Park offers both a rectangular rink and a scenic loop where skaters glide past illuminated trees adorned with sparkling lights. The venue operates daily with hourly skating sessions, and skate rentals are available on-site for visitors of all skill levels. Beyond skating, the Ice Park features the Ledeni Vidikovac (Ice Viewpoint), an elevated platform offering panoramic views of the entire square while guests enjoy warm beverages from the bar. Surrounding the rink, traditional wooden chalets serve Croatian specialties including mulled wine, hot chocolate, Germknödel, and seasonal street food. The park hosts live music performances throughout the season and offers special midnight skating sessions on New Year's Eve, complete with fireworks. As part of Zagreb's award-winning Advent celebration, the Ice Park marks a special milestone in 2024, commemorating both its own 10th anniversary and 150 years of ice skating tradition in Zagreb. Arrive early during peak times to secure your preferred skating session.
