Košice Fairytale Christmas transforms Slovakia's second-largest city into a magical winter wonderland each December. Now in its 29th year, this beloved market stretches along Main Street (Hlavná Street) from the Immaculata statue nearly to the end of the historic pedestrian zone, creating an enchanting atmosphere beneath a stunning 15-meter Christmas tree. The market features 46 wooden stalls offering traditional Slovak specialties, handcrafted gifts, and festive treats, while a spectacular 32-meter-high carousel provides breathtaking views of the illuminated city center. The cultural program is rich and varied, with celebratory concerts on the stage by the Immaculata, a magical Nativity scene, and special events near the Lower Gate.
