Visitors can sample the Erfurter Schittchen — one of Germany's oldest Christmas stollens, dating back to 1329 — alongside the iconic Thuringian bratwurst seasoned with marjoram, caraway, and garlic. A 12-meter-high Christmas pyramid and a 25-meter illuminated Christmas tree anchor the square visually, while a Ferris wheel and rides for children add a festive, family-friendly energy. The market's signature Puffbohne mugs — featuring Erfurt's beloved broad-bean mascot in papa, mama, and baby versions — make for a charming and collectible souvenir.
