WinterWunderWERK im Werksviertel

Every winter the Werksviertel-Mitte, the former factory quarter by Munich's Ostbahnhof, turns into the WinterWunderWERK, which its organiser calls "the slightly different Christmas market". Between the lights there is Christmas music, handmade crafts for gifts and a large choice of food and mulled-wine stands, including the popular Eventie's Hüttn. On the Knödelplatz a real ice rink is open for skating, with ice clubbing every Thursday. Five covered curling lanes at the Container Collective and on the Maris-Jansons-Platz can be booked, right in front of the Umadum Ferris wheel, which gives one of the best views over Munich. In 2026 the WinterWunderWERK runs from 12 November to 20 December, Monday to Friday 16:00–22:00, Saturday 11:00–22:00 and Sunday 11:00–20:00.
