Il Natale a Roma transforms the scenic EUR district into Rome's largest Christmas celebration, wrapping the picturesque Laghetto dell'EUR lake in festive lights, wooden chalets, and holiday magic from December 1 through early January. Set against the striking rationalist architecture of the EUR neighborhood, this free-entry Christmas village offers a uniquely Roman take on the classic European market experience. At the heart of the event, over 100 uniformly curated exhibitor stalls line the lakeside promenade along Viale America, offering an eclectic mix of food, beverages, artisan crafts, local specialty products, vintage finds, and promotional goods — all styled to harmonize with the market's cohesive Christmas theme. A towering 50-meter Ferris wheel dominates the skyline, providing sweeping views over the lake and the illuminated village below. Families gravitate toward Santa's House, an igloo-inspired North Pole retreat where children can meet Babbo Natale (Santa Claus) and soak in festive music and theatrical light effects. The ice skating rink — open daily through January 7 — sits surrounded by charming wooden chalets and stalls, making it a centerpiece attraction for visitors of all ages. Each evening, synchronized light shows set to music cast the entire lakeside in a spectacular glow. The village opens daily from 10:00 to 21:30, with Santa's House welcoming visitors on weekdays from 14:00–20:00 and on weekends and holidays from 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–20:00. Arrive by metro (Line B, EUR Fermi or EUR Palasport stops) to avoid parking hassles and make the most of the evening light displays.
