Luxembourg Christmas Market - Place de la Constitution

The Wantermaart at Place de la Constitution is Luxembourg City's most spectacular Christmas market location, set dramatically around the iconic Gëlle Fra (Golden Lady) monument at the heart of the UNESCO-listed old city. With 40 wooden chalets clustered at the foot of this beloved landmark, the market combines festive shopping, entertainment, and breathtaking scenery in one compact square. The market's skyline is defined by a towering 32-meter Ferris wheel offering panoramic views over the Pétrusse valley and the Adolphe Bridge, alongside a giant Christmas pyramid and a glittering 13-meter golden Christmas tree decorated with firefly lights and gold baubles. Families are well catered for with trampolines and two dedicated children's rides — the Jungle Tour and Mon Beau Sapin — while panoramic café-restaurants line the square with views across the valley. Food and drink stalls serve classic Christmas market fare including Glühwein (mulled wine), Gromperekichelcher (Luxembourgish potato fritters), crêpes, waffles, and bratwurst, reflecting the city's unique French-German cultural blend.
