Bilbao's Christmas Market at Parque de Doña Casilda brings a fresh and enchanting twist to the city's holiday season, relocating from its former Muelle de Ripa home to one of Bilbao's most beloved green spaces. Nestled around the park's iconic 70-meter light-and-music tunnel, the market transforms the Parque de Doña Casilda into a "Bosque Mágico" (Magic Forest) inspired by Basque mythology, where fireflies, galtzagorris, and other mythological characters roam among the stalls after dark. The market features 35 themed wooden stalls — nine more than the previous edition — offering a curated mix of local crafts, artisan jewelry, Basque gourmet products, Christmas decorations, cosmetics, and unique gifts from vendors such as Enara Artesanía, Mendimarket Gourmet, and Karola Kosmetika Naturala. Food trucks serving gourmet burgers, talos, and warm drinks like mulled wine add a lively gastronomic dimension alongside the shopping. Beyond shopping, the market hosts a rich program of free activities throughout its run: live music performances by young local musicians, an immersive theatrical experience called "El secreto de la Navidad," Basque folk dance exhibitions, interactive arcade machines with Christmas-themed mini-games, and a Wishes Mailbox where families can send holiday messages. The light-and-music tunnel puts on synchronized shows at 18:30, 19:30, and 20:30 each evening, while the illuminated cybernetic fountain adds to the magical atmosphere.
