The Feria de Artesanía de Navidad is Valencia's most iconic and long-running Christmas craft fair, held annually in the heart of the historic city center at Plaza de la Reina, in the shadow of Valencia's magnificent Gothic Cathedral. Now in its 24th edition, this beloved market is organized by Arteval (the Association of Artisans of Valencia) in collaboration with the City of Valencia and the Centre d'Artesania de la Comunitat Valenciana, giving it an official stamp of quality that sets it apart from ordinary holiday markets. The fair runs from late November through January 6 (Three Kings Day), spanning the entire festive season. Around 35 traditional beechwood stalls — each measuring 3 meters wide by 2.5 meters deep, with shutters and integrated lighting — line the plaza, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere after dark. Every single item on sale is 100% handmade by certified professional artisans, covering an impressive range of disciplines: jewelry, ceramics, pottery, leatherwork, textiles, engraving, glasswork, costume jewelry, goldsmithing, and traditional wooden toys. Many vendors are local to Valencia and the surrounding region, making this a genuine showcase of Valencian and Spanish craftsmanship. Beyond shopping, the market hosts live demonstration workshops organized by the Centre d'Artesania de la Comunitat Valenciana, where visitors can watch artisans at work and even participate in hands-on activities. The market opens daily from 10:30–14:00 and 16:30–21:00, with special extended hours on January 5 (until 22:30) and morning-only hours on December 24 and 31. Arrive in the evening to enjoy the plaza bathed in Christmas lights with the Cathedral as a backdrop.
