Weihnachtszauber Schwarzenbergplatz

Weihnachtszauber is a new Christmas market, opening for the first time in 2026 on Vienna's historic Schwarzenbergplatz. Surrounded by monumental palais, the illuminated Hochstrahlbrunnen fountain forms the centrepiece of the square, and light installations extend into the gardens in front of Palais Schwarzenberg. Stalls sell high-quality, authentic crafts, many of them one-offs. Alongside punch, mulled wine, roast chestnuts and fried potatoes, Austrian caterers serve a wide choice of hot dishes. A stage hosts a programme for all ages, and a ballroom built from lights hosts live music. The market is run by the operator of the Weihnachtsdorf markets at Maria-Theresien-Platz, the University Campus and Stephansplatz.
