The market features a dedicated Handwerkergasse (craftsmen's alley), where artisans demonstrate traditional skills in real time — from blacksmithing to felting — inviting visitors to watch and participate. Entertainment runs throughout the day with music, juggling, and theatrical performances woven into the program. The undisputed highlight is the nightly fire show, staged at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, drawing crowds who gather in the cobblestone lanes to watch performers work with flame against the backdrop of Hannover's medieval architecture. Many of the wooden toys, carved figures, and handcrafted gifts sold here originate from the Erzgebirge and South Tyrol regions, giving the shopping a distinctly artisan quality.
