The Arsenalplatz location of the Ludwigsburger Barock-Weihnachtsmarkt is an exciting expansion of Ludwigsburg's beloved Baroque Christmas Market, bringing festive magic to a second beautifully illuminated square in the heart of the city. First introduced for the 2025 season, this additional venue extends the market's reach beyond the historic Marktplatz, offering visitors even more to discover during the Christmas season. At Arsenalplatz, the atmosphere is lively and family-centered, anchored by two standout attractions: a charming children's carousel and the much-loved Blübähnle, Ludwigsburg's iconic Blossoming Baroque miniature train that delights visitors of all ages as it winds its rounds through the festive setting. The Gastro-Pavillon "Café Kleiner Prinz" serves as a warm gathering point, surrounded by food and drink stalls offering seasonal specialties. Two large sweeping light installations and a glowing angel figure bathe the square in a warm, festive glow, creating a magical backdrop for an evening stroll. One of the most appealing aspects of the Arsenalplatz location is its extended opening hours compared to the main Marktplatz site. While the Marktplatz closes at 9 pm daily, Arsenalplatz stays open until 10 pm Monday through Thursday and until 11 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — making it the perfect spot for a late-evening visit after dinner.
