The Advent at Prokurative brings the festive spirit of Split's Christmas celebration to one of the city's most iconic open-air squares, framed by striking red neoclassical facades and set just steps from the Adriatic Sea. Known locally as the 'Raspjevani trg' (the singing square), this venue transforms into the liveliest hub of the entire Advent in Split festival each December and into the new year. At the heart of the square sits a large ice skating rink, drawing families, couples, and visitors of all ages into a swirl of laughter and movement throughout the day. As evening falls, the energy shifts into high gear with nightly live concerts featuring a mix of popular Croatian performers — from klapa (traditional Dalmatian a cappella groups) like Klapa Šufit and Klapa Munita, to well-known pop and folk artists such as Luka Nižetić, Marko Kutlić, Dalmatino, and Ružica Čović. Weekend daytime DJ sets keep the atmosphere buzzing from morning onward. Food stalls operated by local Split restaurants line the square, offering a taste of Dalmatian cuisine alongside seasonal treats and warm drinks.
