Regensburg's oldest and most popular Christmas market, operating for over 200 years surrounding the Protestant Neupfarrkirche church at the city's main square. The market spans two nearby squares — Haidplatz and Kohlenmarkt — each a short walk apart, and also offers food, drinks, and occasional live music or cultural performances.

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany, this sprawling market wraps around the historic St. Emmeram Palace — Germany's largest privately inhabited castle — and extends into its inner courtyard. The market features traditional craftsmen including blacksmiths, basket weavers, candlemakers, and glass blowers, along with fire pits, a Noble Champagne Pavilion, a Magic Children's Forest with rides, and a wide variety of Bavarian foods including wild boar on a spit and Feuerzangenbowle. An admission fee is required.
